Classification: Rumuruti chondrite (R3-5)

Physical characteristics: Dark brown fragments. Cut face revelas a rather featurless brown interior.

Petrography: (J. Gattacceca, CEREGE) Brecciated chondrite with small chondrules set in a dark matrix. Olivine is the dominant mineral. Opaque minerals are mostly sulfides.

Geochemistry: Type 3 material: olivine Fa28.4±15.4, range Fa4.4-48.5, Fa PMD 50%, (n=16), low-Ca pyroxene Fs12.9Wo0.5 (n=2), Ca-pyroxene Fs12.9Wo44.8 (n=2). Type 5 material:  olivine Fa39.3±0.4 (n=5). Overall NiO content of olivine is 0.25±0.11 wt% (n=21). 

Classification: Rumuruti chondrite (R3-5). Both equilibrated and unequilibrated lithologies are present.

Specimens: Type specimen at CEREGE. Main mass with Isabelle Pothier.
